The Restored Reformed Church of Nieuwe Tonge took its own church building into use in 2012, after having used the Village Hall for a number of years. The new premises were purpose-built and can accommodate up to 300 parishioners. The commission for Mixtuur Orgels was to build an organ that would stand above the pulpit, centrally, at the front of the church hall. Challenges included the limited available space and the acoustics. Mixtuur Orgels designed an organ with a pipe front in a contemporary style that fits nicely above the pulpit. As far as disposition is concerned, a modest organ was chosen with two manuals and free pedal with a disposition in modern style.
