The largest organ pipe is 64 feet or 19,5 meters. There are two instruments that have a full-length 64’stop. The first one is the Midmer-Losh organ at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The second one is the Pogson organ in the Organ Sydney Town Hall.<\/p>\n

It is possible to build pipe organs with longer pipes (128′ is the next step), but a human would no longer discern pitch. It would take a long time for air to vibrate and produce a sound. Chances are that a listener would not hear anything.<\/p>\n

On average, the longest pipe of an organ is 16 feet. Cathedral organs usually have one (or maybe two) 32 foot pipes.<\/p>\n
